Dove Cameron Was Seriously Obsessed With 'Hairspray' Musical Movie

Even more proof that Dove Cameron is all of us — she was obsessed with the 2007 Hairspray movie!

“I actually saw Hairspray in theatres when it came out [in 2007],” she shares in a new interview, confessing that the snuck mashed potatoes and gravy in from the nearby supermarket for snacks!

(Side note: Interesting snack choice)

Dove adds, “We loved it so much that we went again the next day, but I had the poster up in my room for like three or four years. I was obsessed with the movie.”


This makes her even more perfect for the part of Amber, doesn’t it? YES!

Hairspray Live! will debut on the small screen on December 7th on NBC.
