Olympian Meryl Davis Speaks Out About Her Tweet; Wants To See 'Inclusiveness' In Fashion Campaigns

Meryl Davis has released a statement after her tweet went viral for calling out fitness brands for using more models than athletes in their campaigns.

“As someone who has experienced just how hurtful comments on the internet can be, my intention is to promote the use of a diversified ideal of beauty and support the role I believe female athletes can play in the pursuit of that,” the Olympian ice dancer, and former Dancing With The Stars winner, shares.

Meryl adds, “I feel very strongly that all women should be represented in the media for young girls to see and my intention is to encourage inclusiveness. I am about women supporting women and building one another up.”

If you missed it, Meryl spoke out about the campaigns in a tweet, which Bella Hadid‘s mom Yolanda, defended.
