Eva Gutowski Has a Hair Crush on Zendaya! (Exclusive)

We recently caught up with the 20-year-old social media star, who just wrapped up her new YouTube Red comedy MyLifeAsEva, to get the goods on her amazing hair!

JJJ: You’ve done a lot to your hair already and it always looks great. What trend/style would you love to do but are too afraid to do?

Eva: I want to dye my whole head blue – roots and everything like DJ Tigerlily, but my hairstylist says it’s really bad for my hair so she keeps scaring me away from it.

JJJ: Do you have a hair crush on anyone?

Eva: I think my hair crush is Zendaya because her hair is really similar to mine and it always looks really good. I can never get mine to look as good as her.

JJJ: What’s the No. 1 hair rule you always follow?

Eva: I always make sure my hair is always conditioned and nourished and if it ever starts to feel dry, I don’t straighten it – Instead I use a deep conditioner. I use Carol’s Daughter. Basically, never compromise a hair’s health for a style, your natural hair is better than damaged hair.

JJJ: You just wrapped your YouTube Red series! How did it go? Any favorite moments? Anything you can share?

Eva: It was amazing just being able to work on a show with such an amazing cast and crew, especially Rhea [Perlman]. I learned so much from her. My favorite moments were when Rhea would deliver her lines and she would deliver them so funnily that I wouldn’t be able to control myself.
