'Harry Potter & the Cursed Child' is Opening in NYC!

Attention Harry Potter fans: J.K. Rowling‘s hit play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is coming to Broadway!

The play – which originally debuted at London’s West End – will open at Lyric Theatre in Spring 2018.

After Cirque du Soleil’s show Paramour finishes using the theater in April, millions of dollars of renovations will take place, including a smaller, more intimate theater space.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – set 19 years after the last Harry Potter book ended – is directed by John Tiffany and based on an original story by Jack Thorne.

J.K. said in a statement, “I’m delighted we are one step closer in bringing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to Broadway and very excited by the proposed plans.”
