Congrats to Matt Terry — the new winner of X Factor!

The 23-year-old singer beat out group 5 After Midnight and Saara Aalto for the title.

“I can’t believe it!!! Thank you to every single one of you that voted for me ?? #xfactorfinal,” Matt wrote on Twitter just minutes after. “Still COMPLETELY in shock! I’m so grateful! So happy to say my new single #WhenChristmasComesAround is out now!!!”

He Auditioned for the Show After Being Dumped: “I’ve recently come out of a relationship with my girlfriend and I’ve gone home, taken a little break from the area where my heartbreak’s concerned.”

He worked as a waiter in Bromley, England

While Matt was coached by Nicole Scherzinger, they aren’t dating: “She’s totally my type but sadly way out of my league!”

He has soooooooooooo many female fans! “Sometimes it’s really shocking…Like the other day we were at the house just watching TV and all of a sudden we just heard a car horn go. And inside the car was a group of girls who were swinging their underwear, saying, ‘We want Matt!’”

He was formerly in a boy band called Far Too Far which also featured JLS star Marvin Humes’s little brother Jackson. The group disbanded in 2014.
