EXCLUSIVE: Meet Your New Favorite Boy Band - Los 5!

Los 5 is a Latin boy band that is ready to take 2017 by storm.

You may have heard their new single “Kings and Queens,” or you may remember them from their performance on the Elvis Duran Show.

Ever since these five talented guys were chosen as Artist Of The Month by Elvis Duran on NBC’s Today show, they have gotten the chance to perform at some of the biggest events of the year, like the iHeartRadio Music Festival, iHeartRadio’s Fiesta Latina, and at several stops throughout the Jingle Ball tour.

Just Jared Jr. has all the info you need to become a LOS 5 expert before all your friends – get reading below!

Juan Pablo, 23 – Lead Vocals

Juan (or JP for short) is the Mexican lead singer of Los 5 and is hands-down one of the funniest guys on the music scene right now. When asked to describe everyone’s personalities, his bandmates pinned JP as “extra” and “really funny.” Aside from being the lovable class clown, JP is passionate about his heritage like the rest of the boys in the group, claiming that tacos are his absolute favorite food. He would even have some for breakfast, which we can totally relate to.

Tomas Slemenson, 24 – Drums

We call dibs on this drummer. Tomas is a musician from Brazil and clearly loves to stand out – he performed at the Miami Jingle Ball this past weekend sporting bright green hair. “Usually around this time of year, we can see he is turning into the Grinch,” lead guitarist Ismael joked about his new hairdo. Tomas has some great music taste and big dreams – he would love to perform with Coldplay or Maroon 5.

Hector Rodriquez, 19 – Bass

The bassist and youngest of the group, Hector is actually first cousins with guitarist Ismael (and also shares his love for soccer)! “Contrary to my cousin, my team is the Chivas,” Hector confirmed. Bandmate Matt claims that Hector is an “old soul in a young body” and “philosophical.” Hector would also say that he’s the social butterfly of the group. “I’m a very social person. I really enjoy talking to people, making new friends. And I encourage everyone to do the same, because human interaction is very important for change and to move forward as a society.”

Ismael Cano, Jr., 24 – Guitar & Backing Vocals

Ismael is your new favorite lead guitarist who also sings background vocals in Los 5, and he’s obsessed with soccer. “My favorite teams [are] Mexico, America, and Barcelona,” he said while revealing that he may get a tattoo of one of the teams on this chest. The band says that Ismael is the calm peacekeeper of the group who is organized and even cooks for his everyone from time to time. He has been living in LA for the last six years and is originally from Mexico.

Matt Rey, 24 – Rap Vocals

Matt is the rapper and certified hottie of the group. His bandmates describe him as the stylish and cool one of the group, and bassist Hector says Matt‘s got “swag.” “For some reason, the girls like him a lot,” joked lead singer Juan, “Even through the phone they’ll say, ‘I like that one.’” Matt‘s been in the states the longest (16 years). He also plays soccer and loves snowboarding so much that he hinted he’d be down to go with anyone who wanted to buy him a season pass to board.
