Biggest success of 2016: “Honestly, 2016 was a big transitional year for me, looking back I’m so happy to say it’s been full of personal successes. It’s hard to say what would be the biggest, because the release of ‘The Great Divide’ has been phenomenal, but there have also been many other things happening behind the scenes that I would class as even bigger successes. I’ve been able to grow up a fair bit this year and start to take in the world around me, which is exciting!”

Goals for 2017: “For me, 2017 is all about progressing the things I’ve begun, and bringing in new things along the way. I really want to try to go even deeper with my songwriting. It makes me so happy to see people connect with the music I’m making, and I’d love to continue to make that connection stronger. I look forward to releasing more original music next year so look out for it!”

Favorite rising social media star right now: “I think what David Dobrik is doing with vlogging is so captivating. His videos make me smile and laugh so hard, and he is so dedicated. I’m really excited to see what he’ll do next!”

Best advice for someone looking to succeed in the social media space: “Social media changes so quickly doesn’t it? That’s what I love about it…things and trends that were happening online last year have already been overtaken by what’s new and fresh. I guess my advice would be to stay flexible and to not be afraid to try something new. I know it can also easy to feel like you need to compare yourself to everyone else online, just know that what matters most is what’s exciting to you.”

Favorite all-time social media platform: “I’m really loving Instagram right now. There’s so much freedom for creativity and making it personal to you, and I think that’s amazing.”
