Vanessa Marano: Bay & Daphne Will Be Very Different Aunts To Baby Carlton in 'Switched at Birth's Final Season

Let’s call it like it is here — Vanessa Marano and her Switched At Birth character Bay, would be the most awesome aunts ever!

The actress chatted with JJJ on how the family dynamic has changed in the new season, since there’s now a baby on the set.

“I think Bay will be a wacky aunt, eventually,” Vanessa told us. “She’s going to be the fun, crazy aunt to baby Carlton. Daphne is the one who’s going to be ‘you can’t have that much sugar’ and Bay will come in and say ‘Yea, you can’.”


“We get to see baby Carlton this season, which is amazing because I love babies. I love having them on set.”

She added about the feel on the set: “I think I’m the only one who loves having them on set. Usually, they cry and make things difficult and they’re holding up production and it’s crazy. But I still love them. I’m a big fan of playing peek-a-boo with them.”
