Emma Watson Definitely Knows That Harry & Ron Wouldn't Have Lasted Two Days Without Hermione Granger

Emma Watson has finally said what we all knew all along — Hermione Granger was the true star of Harry Potter.

“Hermione was that perfect example of turning on its head this initial prejudice that she gets,” Emma shared in her recent EW cover story.

Emma played the role of Hermione for over 10 years, opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

“Hermione finds a way to wield her intelligence and become really the leader in this group of two other boys and that’s kind of the role that she assumes,” she added, reflecting on the exact impact she had on young girls.

“Harry is much more intuitive. Ron is just along for the ride. Hermione is the one with the plan. She’s in control.”

As Ronald Weasley would say, “We wouldn’t last two days without her.”

However, Hermione wouldn’t leave her friends behind for anything: “What is so fundamentally beautiful about Hermione is her loyalty to that group of friends. She’s really the glue that keeps that trio together. It’s fundamental, and the boys knew it, and they really treat her as if they know that.”
