Rowan Blanchard is Going on Strike in Two Days!

Actress Rowan Blanchard is not new to activism.

The 15-year-old Girl Meets World star delivered a powerful speech at the Women’s March in January.

Today, she declared her plans to join ‘A Day Without A Woman’ on Wednesday (March 8), which is International Women’s Day.

Rowan posted a quote by Dayna Tortorici about the day, captioning: “Thinking about the #DayWithoutAWoman this Wednesday. If you are able to, do not show up from any paid or unpaid work. if you cannot afford to or are not in a position to strike altogether, wear red in solidarity and only spend money if the business is owned by a woman/minority.”

She then went on to assert that “the time now,” and to pose the question: “What would happen if our money was redirected from big business to independent, local business? If we showed, that a #DayWithoutAWoman is a day without America?”
