Hunter Hayes Opens Up About His New Album That He's Still Working On

Hunter Hayes‘ debut album came out in 2011…that’s six years ago!

So, why is is taking so long for his next full album to get here? Because Hunter is getting it just perfect for all his fans.

“It’s been all the things I’ve really wanted it to be. It’s been this huge journey of self-discovery, all that stuff,” Hunter shared in a recent interview “It’s been good for my soul and I’ve learned a lot about myself.”

He added, “I think that’s the part that’s going to do this record the most good. It wasn’t just picking good songs or writing whatever songs we thought might be good enough, it’s about discovery.”

“I feel like I’ve got a little bit more to go, not long though” — that’s a great sign! “I can see, I think for the first time this month actually, I’m seeing this thing actually take shape and it’s been really encouraging.”

In between his debut album, Hunter also dropped The 21 Project, as well as a handful of singles.

Hunter and fellow country singer, Cassadee Pope, are pictured at the C2C Country Music Festival in London over the weekend.
