DWTS' Val Chmerkovskiy Loves Normani Kordei's Confidence

One of the first things that everyone notices about Normani Kordei is her confidence, and her DWTS partner Val Chmerkovskiy noticed it too.

“She’s young, but she has a great sense of self, strength and femininity,” he revealed in a video interview earlier in the month. “I hope she’s going to bring that strength to the competition.”

Val also added that he plans to bring that strength Normani has to every performance.

“At the same time, for me, strength is not just confidence but also embracing your flaws and vulnerability. She seems like somebody that, at least at first glance, is very comfortable with the things that she’s not…and so she can embrace all the things that she is.”
