Harry Styles' Movie Director Doesn't Want to Discuss Harry's Hair

Harry Styles is going to have an amazing year.

Not only is his first solo performance happening this weekend, but he’s going to make his acting debut in a very serious movie this summer.

Harry fans know all about his upcoming film Dunkirk, a World War II drama, in which Harry plays a soldier.

What they might not know is Harry‘s competition included thousands of other hopeful actors.

The movie’s director Christopher Nolan told the Los Angeles Times that he really wanted to cast a “young unknown” for Harry‘s role.

He clarified, “He’s not that unknown, but he’d never done anything as an actor before. So he auditioned. I auditioned literally thousands of young men with different combinations of young men. And he had it.”

That’s pretty incredible!

The one thing Christopher absolutely did not want to discuss was Harry cutting his long locks for the role.

When the reporter asked if Harry was hesitant to cut of the hair he’d been growing while in One Direction, he replied, “I don’t want to get into it.”
