Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' Just Hit 1 Billion Streams on Spotify!

Ed Sheeran is officially a super hero! His single “Shape of You” just hit one billion (yep, with a “b”) play marks on Spotify, making him one of only three acts to do so in history so far.

“Shape of You” is Ed‘s second single from his most-recently released album, Divide. That album also made Ed the fastest-selling male artist in history in the United Kingdom, according to The Independent.

The only other two artists to hit the Spotify milestone are Drake (with “One Dance) and The Chainsmokers (with “Closer”). It looks like the next artist to clear the mark will be Major Lazer (with “Lean On).
