Sabrina Carpenter's New Music Has Some Unexpected Influences (Exclusive)

Sabrina Carpenter just dropped her newest single “Why” and we think it’s pretty amazing!

The 18-year-old singer’s new single debuted a little bit of a new sound and she opened up to JJJ about where’s she getting inspiration lately.

“I take a lot of inspiration from a lot of different places. I’d say Bruno Mars and Rihanna,” Sabrina explained.

But it’s not just Bruno and Ri‘s epic music that she’s influenced by – it’s how the music makes her feel!

Sabrina continued, “It’s not just the style of music that’s inspiring to me but the way that their songs make you feel. It’s something that I’ve always paid attention to. They put me in a completely different, happy place. So I take inspiration from that for sure.”
