Sofia Carson & Dove Cameron Are Feeling Emotional Over Their Duet in 'Descendants 2'

Sofia Carson and Dove Cameron have a friendship in real life that in many ways mirrors the friendship of their characters Evie and Mal in the Descendants franchise.

With the fast-approaching premiere of Descendants 2 this evening, the soundtrack has at long last been released (listen here) — and one song stands out in particular: a duet between Sofia and Dove.

The duet, “Space Between,” is about Evie and Mal’s commitment to one another’s friendship, even if they can’t be together in person. It’s a sweet, heart-wrenching, stunning song, and it’s giving us all of the feels.

Sofia tweeted an image of a text exchange between Dove and herself, writing: “I’m gonna be a wreck during space between,” to which Dove replies: “I already cried today just listening to it.”

“Never not crying,” Dove responded to the tweet.
