China Anne McClain Previews Her New Show 'Black Lightning': 'It's Literally Lit'

China Anne McClain is having a moment right now — and JJJ is here for it!

On top of celebrating the success of Descendants 2, where she plays Uma, China is also out promoting her new CW show, Black Lightning, at 2017 Comic-Con.

“This show is literally lit,” she told ET at the even over the weekend.

China and Nafessa Williams will star as sisters Jennifer and Anissa Pierce, the daughters of the show’s title character, played by Cress Williams.

“Oh God, it’s amazing. It’s inspiring,” China shared of being able to represent the black community on screen.

She continues, “It’s great that we are at that place, you know, in the world to be able to do that and people can accept it, and think that it’s great and relate to it. So, we’re all honored.”

Nafessa adds, “Our goal is just to serve hope that we can make a change within our country and within our communities and that’s what Black Lightning is.”

Black Lighting will premiere in 2018.
