Louis Tomlinson Dishes On The Real Story Behind 'Back To You'

Just before Louis Tomlinson dropped his newest single, “Back To You”, fans had a pretty good theory about the song.

It seems that some (i.e. A LOT) of fans thought it was about his on-again girlfriend, Eleanor Calder — well, sorry to burst that bubble, but it doesn’t look like it is after all.

“I think it’s conceptually, you know it’s one of those, it’s writing about one of those relationships,” Louis shared in a recent interview with Smallzy. “We all know people like that, [where] maybe shouldn’t be in a relationship very long term but they just keep finding their way back to each other for whatever reason.”

He adds, “We just wrote about that really. I think the song itself kind of, the lyrics are very honest, very raw, [and] kinda harsh at some point and I think Bebe [Rexha] definitely delivers.”

While Louis doesn’t say it’s not about her, we’re still hoping that it is — just a little.
