Betty & Veronica's Fallout in 'Riverdale' Season 2 Will Be Intense

The cast of Riverdale have been tight lipped on a lot of what season two has in store for us, but the one thing they have been vocal about is about an intense fight between our faves, Betty and Veronica.

“With any friendship, there’s going to be drama,” star Lili Reinhart shared with Elle mag. “They’re both dealing with such intense family drama. The mystery of season 2 revolves around Betty and takes its toll on Betty and her mental health, and that kind of puts a strain on her and Veronica’s friendship.”

She adds further, “They get into a fight and it’s the first time you see them go head-to-head and just really have a genuine fight, which you didn’t exactly see past the first three episodes in season 1.”

However, Lili reassures us that Beronica is still going to be a strong friendship in the show.

“They’re a really great female friendship,” she adds. “The friendship is still there; they’re still a crime-fighting duo, which you see more of. I love having scenes with Cami [Mendes]. I know how much people love seeing Betty and Veronica together.”

Riverdale returns in October on The CW.
