These Are the Most-Used Emojis in Response to the Taylor Swift News

In the news heard ’round the world today, Taylor Swift has announced her new album’s title and release date.

Swifties are shaken to their core, and fans have been taking to social media in reaction to the news with a number of emojis.

In a fascinating tweet, Twitter senior communications manager Siobhan Murphy revealed which emojis have been most-used with regards to T-Swift since Friday (when she began teasing the new album.) The results are the eyes emoji, the snake emoji, and the screaming emoji.

The snake can be explained by the snake imagery Taylor has been using to promote the new album all week, imagery that fans think suggests at a darker tone. The other two insinuate intrigue and, well, lack of chill.

For reference, Siobhan also provided the emojis used in the days before her “1989″ release, which are heart-eyes, hands up, and the music emoji.
