This Dad Sat Next to Nick Jonas on a Flight & Had No Idea Who He Was

Nick Jonas is super recognizable to generations Y and Z, but this funny story serves as a reminder that not everyone keeps up on their celeb gossip.

Twitter user @deannanicoleh tweeted a hilarious text exchange with her dad this week in which he had no idea who the famous pop star sitting beside him was.

“Who is Nick Jonas,” he asked his daughter. “He is sitting beside me on the plane.”

Naturally, his daughter freaked out and asked for pictures — and her dad (and Nick) all-too-happily obliged.

“When your Dad sits next to Nick Jonas on an airplane and has no idea who is is,” she tweeted, to nearly 50,000 retweets as of Friday afternoon (September 1).
