Shannon Purser Joins Auli'i Cravalho in NBC's 'Rise'!

Shannon Purser is heading to NBC for Rise!

The actress, who shot to fame on Stranger Things and Riverdale, has joined the upcoming series, as confirmed by a tweet from show creator Jason Katims.

“Act One, Scene One. The table read. #Rise,” he wrote on Twitter with a full cast pic, which includes Shannon, right next to Moana star Auli’i Cravalho.

While we don’t know if Shannon’s role is recurring or a one time thing, we’re still really excited for her!

Rise, based on the book “Drama High”, follows a teacher and family man who takes over his school’s lackluster theater department. In the process, he galvanizes not only the faculty and students but the entire working-class town.

Shannon is also pictured at the Torrid fashion show during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday (September 12).
