'Riverdale' Stars Madelaine Petsch & Vanessa Morgan Share How They Became BFFs

Madelaine Petsch‘s best friend in the world is joining Riverdale, and she couldn’t be more excited about it!

In a new vlog, Madelaine talks with Vanessa Morgan, who will be playing Toni Topaz, one of Jughead’s first friends at Southside High.

Vanessa actually originally auditioned for the part of Josie, which is how she met Madelaine in the first place.

“We instantly became friends at the studio test and then at the network test we exchanged Instagrams,” Madelaine recalls.

What’s really remarkable is that even though Vanessa didn’t get the part of Josie, she still wanted to celebrate her new friend’s feat.

“She was so happy for me,” Madelaine said. “In fact, the first time we hung out was to congratulate me on booking the role.”

We can’t wait to watch V on the show! Vanessa has even said that she wants Toni to date Cheryl Blossom. Whatever happens, this new season will be wild.
