Demi Lovato 'Wasn't Honest With [Her]self' in Her 2012 Documentary

Demi Lovato dropped her Simply Complicated documentary on Youtube this week, and in it, she gets realer than ever about her life behind the scenes.

While the pop singer released a previous documentary in 2012, she sees this new one as a much more honest endeavor.

“I was so honest in that [first] documentary but I wasn’t honest enough,” Demi told People. “And I think it was because I wasn’t honest with myself.”

“Yes, I did touch on issues and certain things that were real and true but I think the biggest problem was I was lying to myself,” she continued. “And in this documentary, I’m 1000 percent sober and I get to really explain myself and apologize to my fans. There wasn’t anything that was off-limits.”

We’re so proud of her for showing her true self and struggles to the world.
