Norwegian Princess Ingrid Alexandra Gets Sculpture Park Named After Her in Oslo

Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway checks out the puppeteer sculpture in the park during the unveiling event held at Oslo Palace in Norway on Thursday (October 19).

The 13-year-old royal, who will one day be queen, attended the event with her grandmother, Queen Sonja; mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and younger brother Prince Sverre Magnus.

The park was actually named after Ingrid, and sits on the grounds of Oslo’s royal palace, and today, she unveiled two new sculpture — a rainbow and the puppeteer with a duck hand puppet.

Both works were designed by schoolchildren from all over the country and two winners were chosen to be realised by professional sculptors. All works in the garden were designed by children.
