Sorry to all the Betty and Archie fans out there, but it doesn’t look like your couple is endgame on Riverdale.
Speaking with TVLine, Lili Reinhart dished that Betty only has eyes for Jughead now.
“I don’t think Betty has feelings for Archie anymore,” she shared. “I think that’s over and done with. She’s in love with Jughead, and is happy being with him.”
However, there is some flicker of hope, especially after that lingering look he gave her in the season one finale — but it’s not the romantic relationship kind of hope.
It’s “wanting something that you can’t have…I definitely think Archie has some commitment issues,” she adds. “He has a wandering eye, you know?”
Lili adds that there is a “deep love” between the two, but “I just don’t necessarily think it’s romantic.”
