Cole Sprouse Fought For Hot Dog To Be an English Sheepdog on 'Riverdale'

By now, we should all know that Cole Sprouse lives and breathes everything Archie Comics and Riverdale.

So, when the show was casting Jughead’s dog Hot Dog for the series, Cole actually fought to have the dog be an English sheepdog.

“He’s undoubtedly the worst part of the digests,” Cole shared on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night (October 24) in NYC. “Hands down, he’s the scariest thing and adds not really too much.”

“But for some reason, I was addicted to having an English sheepdog like he is in the comics. He was originally pitched as a pitbull.”

Cole adds, joking, “I was trying to wear Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa, showrunner] down about this and this dog, was the worst actor I’ve ever [worked with]. It barks the whole time, it didn’t hit his mark…”
