Lili Reinhart Says Fans Shouldn't Be Too Worried About Betty & Veronica's Relationship on 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart‘s Betty went through a roller coaster of emotions on last night’s Riverdale.

The actress opened up to multiple outlets about what’s ahead for Betty, Bughead and Beronica.

“It was an intimidating episode for me because of how emotional it was,” Lili shared with Elle magazine. “It definitely was one of my hardest episodes, having to get all my emotions out there. It was intense�and a lot of crying�for that one, and I kind of put myself in deep, dark places to see all of these dark shades of Betty.”

It got especially dark for Lili “when she has to sever her ties with Veronica and Jughead — it’s devastating to watch as an audience member because you know that she’s not doing it to hurt them or on purpose. She’s doing it because she’s being forced against her will.”

We’re pulling for Bughead to come out on the other side stronger, just like we know Betty and Veronica will be doing as well.

“I wouldn’t worry too much about Betty and Veronica,” Lili assures fans. “I think it may take some time to ease back in, but when your best friend is your best friend, you fight and get over it because you love each other.”

But, speaking of Bughead…Lili does hope that Betty gets a chance to explain herself to Jughead after all of this is over…hopefully, it will be over one day.

“And to reconcile with him,” she adds. “But with the Black Hood still being a present figure in her life, it’s hard to imagine that her relationship with anyone can continue, or go back to the way it was.”
