Landry Bender On 'Best Friends Whenever' Cancellation: 'It Was Sad at First'

Landry Bender reminisced about Best Friends Whenever and it hit us right in the feels!

The 17-year-old actress talked to NKD mag about the show ending and looking forward to her future.

“It was sad at first. Anytime you invest yourself in something it’s hard to let that go, but I’m still very, very close with the cast,” she said about the show’s cancellation. “I’ve never had a boyfriend, but it’s sort of like a breakup.”

Besides being an actress, Landry is really looking forward to continuing her education.

“I just had a meeting with my guidance counselor about this, right before I came to New York,” Landry said. “Education is something that’s very important to me, and just because I’m an actor I don’t want to not go to college. That’s what a lot of child actors do and I don’t want to go down that route.”

She also wants to get more into the production side of the business. “The fact that I do get to be on sets and observe everyone is something that’s very cool,” she said. “I get to be a fly on the wall sometimes and watch directors and producers.
