Danielle Bradbery Only Wants To Make Music That's True To Her
Danielle Bradbery is about to release her brand new album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, and there’s not one thing you’ll find on the album that’s fake.
The 23-year-old singer spoke to Rolling Stone about the new record, saying that she wasn’t the Danielle who won The Voice anymore.
“I wasn’t a part of the writing on that first record,” she shared. “So I know the feeling of singing something that’s not really you. The whole thing was very much Voice-driven. Afterwards, I wanted to sit down, without all the craziness, and ask myself, ‘Who is Danielle?’”
Danielle adds, “I only want to do stuff that’s comfortable and true for me.”
She wrote seven of the ten songs on the record, and you can feel it in the music that it’s 100% her.
“This music falls back on so many influences I’ve had since day one. I want people from back home to listen and say, ‘Oh, she’s still that same girl.’”
