Danielle Bradbery Returns to 'The Voice' Tonight & Admits She Was Scared Her Entire Time on the Show in Season 4

Danielle Bradbery is making a triumphant return to The Voice stage tonight, four years after she won the show back in 2013.

The “Sway” singer opened up to WWD about her experience on the show back in season 4.

“My mom signed me up for The Voice because I was so shy and I wouldn’t do anything on my own,” Danielle admits. “I was just going to stick to singing in my room by myself.

But after an audition in Dallas, she was in.

“I was so scared, but when I did it, it was like: ‘Wow, this is an amazing experience,’” she adds. “But I was scared all the way through. I didn’t know much about the industry or anything, I just knew I loved to sing that that was my therapy.”

Danielle also spoke about keeping up with Blake Shelton, who served as her coach during her time on the show, revealing that he’s still supportive of her career, even if they don’t speak all the time.

“He did congratulate me on ‘Sway,’ so that was really sweet,” she shares. “And he recently tweeted about my song being in the top 50, which is really exciting, and I will be seeing him when I go back [tonight]. It’s going to be fun to show them how much I’ve grown and see everybody.”
