Just before the weekend, Kylie Jenner‘s Kylie Cosmetics unveiled a luxury brush set that was gorgeous beyond words, but also really expensive.
The price tag — $360 for the full 16-brush kit, and silver roll up — did not sit well with fans.
However, Kylie is defending the price.
“I have developed for you guys the most amazing luxury brushes ever. I am very excited!” Kylie wrote in her defense. “Real brushes don’t compare to synthetic brushes. Different performance/quality/everything.”
While she’s still 100% behind her brushes, and the price attached to it, it looks like she is also open for another, less expensive brush set in the future.
Kylie added, “I am 100% down to do an entire synthetic line in the future which will ultimately be cheaper.”
Some fans still seem unconvinced though:
None of your fans have money like that… I’m going to wait for the reviews but I’m still it going to buy 16 brushes for 360’dollars. Kylie Cosmetics is not a luxury brand

Girl the brushes look dope but I work two jobs and go to Nursing School full time and can still barely afford gas on a weekly basis. $360 is way, way too much. Honestly, even $100 is too much. – a message from your everyday college student
