Record Label Heads Didn't Believe Camila Cabello's 'Havana' Was Going To Be A Hit

It seems like Camila Cabello‘s record label didn’t actually have a lot of faith in her breakout hit, “Havana”.

Revealed this week, Billboard reports that the song is having the longest run on the Pop Songs chart since Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” in 2013. Not only that, but “Havana” has also been declared 2x platinum in the United States and sits at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

But, producer Frank Dukes revealed on Twitter that label heads and radio stations didn’t actually believe in the song!

“Label heads and the people at radio told us this was not a hit when we first tried to put it out lol,” he replied to the Billboard story.

How is that possible?!

“Havana” is one of the tracks on Camila‘s self-titled debut album, due out on Friday.
