Camila Cabello Reveals Why She Cut Her Collaboration With Ed Sheeran From Her Debut Album

Earlier last year, fans were expecting to hear Camila Cabello‘s collaboration with Ed Sheeran on her debut album — however, the song didn’t make the cut for the final 12 tracks on the record.

Speaking with Billboard at the Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala over the weekend, Camila revealed the true reason why it didn’t make it.

“It’s like one of those weird things because I love him so much and he’s been one of my musical heroes and he knows that,” she shared. “So I felt kinda weird … but at the end it just didn’t fit sonically with the album, even though it’s such a great song, it just felt like the only one that felt like it was on another kind of album.”

However, Camila still wants to work with Ed in the future.

“But I definitely wanna do something with him again. I definitely think that’s gonna happen. I mean, I don’t know if it’s gonna happen from his side, but I’m gonna trick him.”

Here’s hoping that we still get to hear “The Boy” in some capacity.
