Oakes Fegley Starts Filming on 'The Goldfinch' in NYC

Oakes Fegley wears glasses while filming his scenes for The Goldfinch in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (January 30).

The young actor was spotted shooting at Hobart and Blackwell antiques store and chatting with director John Crowley between takes.

Oakes, who you might remember as Pete from Pete’s Dragon, will star as a young version of Ansel Elgort‘s Theodore in the movie.

The Goldfinch, also starring Finn Wolfhard, is about a boy in New York, who is taken in by a wealthy Upper East Side family after his mother is killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
