Zendaya Gives Back To Her Mom’s Old School System with Verizon

This week, Zendaya got the chance to give back in a big way to the Fruitvale School District, in Bakersfield, Calif.

The 22-year-old Greatest Showman actress’s mom, Claire, actually used to teach at the school and Zendaya headed back there to donate some much needed equipment for students.

“I always say if I wasn’t in entertainment I’d be a teacher, like my mom,” Zendaya shared on Instagram. “She worked at Fruitvale for 20 years, so to come back with @Verizon Innovative Learning Labs and give these kids a hands on STEM experience was so freakin fun for me and them. #weneedmore.”
