MAX Proposed to Wife Emily With 'Lights Down Low' On The Harp

MAX is opening up about his proposal to his wife Emily, including how he used one of his hit songs “Lights Down Low“!

The singer and former Nickelodeon star shared in a interview about how he wrote the song and how it came to life.

“The music kind of surrounded that hook, and then we wrote all the lyrics around the hook, which is rare,” he told Billboard. “But for this one, it was just this encapsulated feeling… what are the things that you really soak another person up with?”

And as for how he asked his wife to marry him?

“I actually proposed to my wife with the song with a harp player and I sang it to her,” he added. “Those little moments are the ones that you really remember… just laying with someone you love, and their head on your chest, and just the little tiny things that really sort of encapsulate a story.”
