'Spontaneous' Director Gushes Over Katherine Langford In The Best Way

Katherine Langford is being likened to Meryl Streep by her Spontaneous movie director and we’re here for it!

Brian Duffield opened up to EW in a cast “set diary” feature about working with the Aussie actress, whom he says is incredible.

“Working with Katherine Langford is probably what it feels like to work with Meryl Streep,” he shared. “You know you’re watching the best actor in the world and are very confused why they’ve agreed to work with you.”

Brian added, “I’m a professional writer and I can’t even think of what words to use to talk about how incredible she is, both professionally and personally.”

Katherine also opened up about working on the film, saying that it was “such a great experience and gave me the opportunity to try out a role and genre that was so different than anything I’ve ever done or read.”

She added, “Working with Brian Duffield, who not only wrote this, but directed this as well, was amazing, and it was a pleasure to be able to execute his vision. I had so much fun on the set and I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to try something so unique.”
