Kerri Medders Went To Prom With Fan Given Daum & Had The Time of Her Life!
Kerri Medders was living her best life earlier this year, when she went to prom with one of her biggest fans!
The Alexa and Katie actress shared her experience with JJJ, from his “promposal” to her making new friends at the dance and it’s so cute.
“Last year, I was apart of a 7 week tour and on one of the Tennessee stops I went to Chattanooga,” Kerri tells us. “The school I performed at was called East Hamilton High, when I performed I met a guy named Given Daum was front row for the concert and was so excited.”
Kerri explained that after meeting him after the show, he asked her to prom then.
“I told him to ask me again in January if he was serious (you never know with time; a lot of things can happen,” she added. During that entire time, “he would find clever responses to my tweets that had to do with me being his date to prom.”
Months had passed by and in January, Given still wanted to take Kerri to prom.
It was “January 1st exactly [when] he asked me to go to prom with him, he was so persistent and determined; I admired that.”
Kerri did contact the school and make sure Given was a good guy and “nothing but amazing things were said as he was a favorite student. After all the ‘background checks’ I finally said yes to his prom invite.”

Kerri admits that during her getting ready time, she was feeling a bit anxious about everything.
“I have never been so stressed out being in a situation where you have no idea what to expect; it is terrifying,” she told us. “I felt the anxiety all the way to the car, all the way to getting pictures taken.”
However, all her nerves were put at ease once she got to the dance.
“I had no idea who anyone was but these girls came up and asked if I wanted to dance. I spent the whole night dancing and making new friends, Kerri says. “Thank you to Sherri Hill for the beautiful prom dress, my parents for making the trip, and Given Daum giving me an experience to remember forever. I’ll cherish it.”
