Maia Mitchell Doesn't Want To Be Put in A Box

Maia Mitchell isn’t the type to stick to just one type of role in her career – and her latest movie, Never Goin’ Back, proves that.

Speaking with V magazine, the 24-year-old actress revealed that she was actually hooked up to a “vomit rig” during filming.

“It was so disgusting that I actually ended up throwing up for real in one of the takes,” Maia admits.

Maia adds that it’s roles like this that she’s on the lookout for, because she’s not going to be Callie Foster-Adams for the rest of her life.

“I think it’s easy to put young women, and especially young women who are on TV and have played the same character for a long time, in a box,” she says, “and I’m doing everything I can to stay out of it.”
