5 Seconds of Summer Reveal 'Youngblood' Wasn't Actually Supposed To Be A Single

5 Seconds of Summer snap a cool band pic just ahead of performing at the Spotify Fans First Event on Friday (May 25) in Sydney, Australia.

The guys – Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford – got to connect with hometown fans in a Q&A before an acoustic performance.

Speaking recently in a new interview, the band revealed that fan-fave track “Youngblood” wasn’t meant to be a single at all.

“Originally ‘Youngblood’ wasn’t meant to be a single for us,” Michael shared. “We chose to release that, and you get it when you pre-order the album, which was meant to tie in with Youngblood [the album].”

However, it blew up into a huge song.

“People just connected with it so much, and it’s such an organic way for a song to happen.”

FYI: The guys are wearing Pyrrha jewelry.
