Norway's Princess Ingrid Alexandra Could've Been Named Something Entirely Different

Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway walks with her grandmother, Queen Sonja, towards the unveiling of new sculptures to her garden at Oslo Palace in Norway on Thursday afternoon (June 7).

The 14-year-old royal, who will one day be queen, revealed a handful of new sculptures, including a giant hand. The sculptures in the garden are designed by schoolchildren from all over the country.

Just recently, Ingrid‘s mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit revealed that the princess could’ve actually been named Tyra Euphemia.

“We thought it was so special that we did not dare to do it,” Mette-Marit shared at “The Queen Yes” exhibition. Both names are of Queens of past from Norway.

Ingrid is also pictured below with her family during National Day at the children’s parade in Skaugum, Asker.
