Olivia Holt Opens Up About How She Connected With 'Cloak & Dagger's Tandy

Olivia Holt steps out in a cute plaid dress while heading to an appearance on Thursday (June 7) in New York City.

Joined by Aubrey Joseph, the two actors started to promote their new show, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, which premieres tonight.

“Tandy is a very cynical human being, but she beats to the rhythm of her own drum. She is bold and resilient, and she’s really trying to find herself in the world. I love all of those things about her,” Olivia shared with Collider about her character. “She’s complicated, and that’s what makes her so intriguing, so human, and real.”

However, as much as she loved those qualities in Tandy, here’s how she connected with her:

“In order to play Tandy, I had to empathize with her, to a certain degree, and I do,” Olivia adds. “There are certain things that Tandy and I have both gone through, that have taken a toll on our hearts and our minds. I feel so lucky to play somebody who just has this realness to her.”
