Asher Angel is Billy in 'Shazam!' - See The First Look Photo!

Asher Angel is making his big screen debut in Shazam! and the first photo of him is officially here!

Debuting on EW, the -year-old actor stars as Billy Batson, an orphan who is granted an array of magical powers by a mysterious ancient Wizard (Djimon Hounsou) – all he needs to do is say a magic word to transform into a full-grown superhero.

Zachary Levi will play the grown-up superhero.

Asher shared that his character is “misunderstood, he’s mischievous, he’s been a foster kid since he was 5 years old and really has no one to trust.”

Luckily, he gains a new friend in Freddy, played by Jack Dylan Grazer.

“Freddy’s a fanbody when it comes to Batman, Superman, the Justice League, so he becomes Billy’s mentor and sansei when it comes to being a superhero,” Jack shared.

Shazam! is set to debut in theaters April 2019.
