Kendall Jenner Responds to Backlash for Modeling Comment
Kendall Jenner is speaking out after she felt misrepresented by a quote included in a new interview.
The 22-year-old model recently said that she is not one of those models who can appear in countless runway shows due to her busy schedule.
“Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f–k those girls do. More power to ‘em. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back,” Kendall said in the issue.
Now, Kendall is clarifying what was said in the interview with a series of tweets.

I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context.I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!

I get to experience first hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, stress of traveling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful.
