Ashley Tisdale Will Never Resent Her Roles as HSM's Sharpay and The Suite Life's Maddie

There are many celebs who look back on their Disney Channel days and think ‘why did I do that?’, but Ashley Tisdale isn’t one of them.

The actress, singer and producer, who was promoting her new single “Voices in My Head”, revealed in her interview on Build Series, that she’ll never regret starring on Disney Channel as Sharpay Evans in High School Musical or as Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

“I am so grateful for playing those roles. At that time in my life, that was what I wanted to do. I was like ‘I need to be on Disney’,” she shared.

Ashley added, “I know I wouldn’t be where I am without that…it definitely has been hard coming out of it. I think some people still think of me as that character and it’s hard with acting, where I have to work extra hard to get the jobs that I get, but I don’t resent it. I love what I did back then.”

“I’m very proud of it.”
