Some Think Katherine McNamara's Character On 'Arrow' Might Actually Be Villain Black Star!

It’s only been a few months that we’ve known that Katherine McNamara is set to join Arrow‘s current season and we can’t wait to see her first appearance.

However, while it was announced she’d be playing Maya, a “scrappy street fighter and thief from Star City”, it turns out that some actually think she might actually be new a villain, named Black Star.

While there are many mentions of Black Star’s in the comics, it seems to be that Katherine’s Black Star is different.

Bleeding Cool has reported that Black Star would actually be “a “woman whose story starts as an underground cage fighter” – sounds just like Maya to us.

“Maya’s been raised in a really tough environment, so she’s a product of that,” Katherine told Bello magazine about her character. “She’s not one to be intimidated, and not one to be messed with.”

She added, “Maya, on the other hand, is the antithesis of Clary. She’s seen the dark side and she’s been forged by it. She’s one to punch first and ask questions later.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Maya is actually Black Star until her first appearance on the series.
