Camila Mendes Says Veronica Will Pour Herself Into Work After Archie Skips Town on 'Riverdale'
Last week, Veronica’s heart (and ours) were broken when Archie revealed that he wasn’t coming back to Riverdale – and to cope, Veronica is throwing herself into work.
“She handles it in a typical Veronica way, which is to just shove it under the rug and just continue forward,” Camila Mendes told EOnline. “Veronica is very business-oriented, so I think she really just throws herself into her business as a way to avoid thinking about Archie.”
She adds, “She’s that type of person who copes through distracting herself and work, her business this season has been a huge part of her life. I think putting more effort into that is going to be her coping mechanism.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Archie (KJ Apa) hits the road and ends up at a farm outside Riverdale, where he meets Laurie Lake (Riley Keough); and after Alice (Madchen Amick) takes extreme measures to ensure Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) safety from the Gargoyle King, Betty finds herself up against a formidable foe from her past.
Riverdale airs TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
