'Riverdale' Won't Be Crossing Over With Spin-off 'Katy Keene'

The second spinoff for the ever popular Riverdale was just recently announced and we already know that it won’t be crossing over with the series.

Katy Keene will center on the title character, and follows “he lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters — including fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene — as they chase their twentysomething dreams in New York City.”

“Musical dramedy chronicles the origins and struggles of four aspiring artists trying to make it on Broadway, on the runway and in the recording studio.”

“Katy Keene takes places years after Riverdale High School,” CW president Mark Pedowicz said during the TCA tour this week about the show.

For now, “there are no plans to do anything [regarding a crossover]. Any of the Riverdale characters who come to Katy Keene will be older. Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa] is getting the pilot right.”

If you missed it, Riverdale was just renewed for a fourth season.
