AJ Michalka rocks her curly hair while arriving for the SCAD Schooled screening during 2019 aTVfest at SCADshow on Friday (February 8) in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 27-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Brett Dier and Tim Meadows to discuss their new ABC series.

In a new interview, AJ opened up on taking inspiration for her character in the series from her on-set school teachers.

“It’s a thrill for me to have those people locked away in my memory banks so that I can now use them in playing a character,” she shared.

AJ added, “I am able to reference things that I wouldn’t usually be able to reference as an actor because I can look back at them.”
